Biography[]

Season 2[]

Terror of the Faithful
Jacob Rivell's men kidnapped Louis of Condé. They put a bag over his head and dragged him to the forest, where they took the bag off so that Jacob could introduce himself. He wanted to show Condé his fellow Protestants who were part of their cause. He wanted to believe that King Francis was a tolerant man, as he was trying to send the Pope's men back to Rome.

Jacob then asked Condé to secure their Minister and audience with the King and Queen. The Minister would ask the Crown for permission to rebuild the church that had burned down. However, it turned out that the Minister was in on a ploy with a group of radicals. The radicals later killed him and used him as a martyr for their cause, all while framing the Crown.

We're in danger!

Jacob Rivell became close friends with Aloysius Castleroy, who invited him and his wife over to meet Aloysius' new wife, Greer. Castleroy was hoping she would see all the charitable work they were doing, like building a new school, and would consider converting.

Days later, word came that the King and Queen had been attacked in their castle by Protestant radicals. While they both emerged intact, all known Protestants were being taken from their homes for questioning. Jacob then asked Castleroy for additional funds to get away with his family for a while.

Castleroy confronted them, realizing that the money hadn't been going to build a school. Jacob turned to Lord Hugo and asked him what he did with the money he entrusted him with. Hugo admitted he was part of the ploy to assassinate the King.

Lord Hugo is not here anymore...

Jacob accompanied Condé in his search for Lord Hugo. Jacob maintained that Hugo was a good man who only did what he did out of fear for his family. They broke into his home and when they opened the door to the dining room, they saw that Hugo had hung himself.
